ENERGY VAMPIRES Tribute Web Site Launched

September 17, 2006

Former SLAUTER XSTROYES singer John Stewart has launched a web site for his early '90s project ENERGY VAMPIRES. A MySpace page is also available at this location. A CD re-release of the band's 1991 self titled album is in the works and already has some label interest.

SLAUTER XSTROYES was a cult epic metal band from Chicago. The group released its first album, "Winter Kill", in 1985. According to a press release, the LP "was considered a masterpiece of epic metal from start to finish, but few knew that it would end up being the collector piece it is today. In fact, only 500 copies were released in the area around Chicago. Today this album is considered one of the rarest and most expensive finds out there."

John started ENERGY VAMPIRES in late 1989. And, in 1990 the band made its debut performance in Chicago. The band toured the Midwest extensively and also played the Los Angeles, California area several times in the two years they were touring.

Commented the ENERGY VAMPIRES webmaster: "This site was created because of the overwhelming demand from Europe to know where and what ever became of John and his killer voice. Well, John is alive and well living in Las Vegas, NV."
